WHO WE ARE
Kesim is made by Tiny Serious. If you have a question about this policy, or about anything else, write to [email protected].
WHAT THE APP COLLECTS
Nothing. Kesim contains no analytics framework, no crash reporting service, no advertising identifier and no third-party tracking code. The app makes no network requests of its own, so there is no stream of usage data to collect, anonymize or sell.
WHAT STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE
Everything you enter stays in a database on the device that made it:
- Projects and their names
- Parts, quantities, dimensions and grain settings
- Stock sizes, prices, blade kerf and edge trim
- Saved offcuts on your rack
- Calculated layouts and cut sequences
- App settings such as your preferred units
We have no copy of any of it. Deleting the app removes this data from your device. If you back up your device to iCloud or to a computer, that backup is covered by Apple's terms and your own backup settings, not by us.
PURCHASES
Kesim Pro is sold through Apple's In-App Purchase system using StoreKit. Apple processes the payment and tells the app whether a purchase is active. We never see your name, your card details or your billing address. Apple's handling of that transaction is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
Refunds and cancellations are handled by Apple, not by us. There is more about both on the support page.
EXPORTS AND SHARING
PDF and CSV exports are generated on your device. They go wherever you send them using the standard iOS share sheet — AirDrop, Files, Mail, a printer, or another app you choose. That choice is yours and the file never passes through us.
PERMISSIONS
Kesim does not ask for your location, your contacts, your camera, your microphone, your photo library or your health data, because it does not need any of them to plan a cut.
THIS WEBSITE
This site uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-QPM23MXNLQ) to count visits and see which pages people actually read. It sets cookies in your browser and sends Google a record of the pages you view, a rough location derived from your IP address, and basic device and browser details. Google processes that on our behalf as a data processor; their handling is covered by the Google Privacy Policy. Google Analytics 4 does not store full IP addresses.
We use it to answer one question — is anyone finding this — and nothing else. We have not enabled Google Signals, advertising features, or remarketing, and we do not sell the data or use it to build a profile of you.
How to opt out. Block cookies for this site in your browser, use any content blocker, or install Google's official Analytics opt-out add-on. The site works exactly the same either way — nothing here depends on being measured.
Fonts and images are served from this same site, so nothing except Google Analytics contacts a third party. The interactive workbench runs entirely in your browser: the sample cut lists you adjust are never sent anywhere. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, and Cloudflare keeps standard server logs, which typically include IP addresses, for security and reliability.
The app is not the website. Nothing described in this section happens inside Kesim itself. The app contains no analytics of any kind.
CHILDREN
Kesim is a woodworking tool and is not directed at children. Since it collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children either.
YOUR RIGHTS
Privacy laws including the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export and delete the personal data held about you. For the app there is nothing to exercise them against: your projects live on your device, and you can read, change or delete them yourself without asking us.
For this website, the only personal data involved is the analytics described above. Write to [email protected] and we will delete the analytics records associated with you as far as Google Analytics permits, or you can prevent collection entirely using any of the opt-out routes listed above.
We do not sell personal information. The only party we share any of it with is Google, acting as our analytics processor.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
If the app ever gains a feature that changes any of this — optional device sync, for example — we will update this page and note the change in the app's release notes before that feature ships. The effective date at the top always reflects the current version.
